Ordering repeat prescriptions

We can not accept repeat prescription requests over the phone.

Please return the tear off slip on your prescription, ticking the medication you need to order. This can be returned by post or put in the black box on the railing at the door of the surgery or hand it to reception staff.

Alternatively you may also order by emailing: nhsh.gp55696-admin@nhs.scot (please be aware that normal email is not encrypted and so may not be totally secure). Please remember to include your full name and date of birth or full address so that we can correctly identify you and ensure there are no delays.

Collecting your prescription

Please allow atleast 7 working days for prescriptions to be issued and sent to your requested local pharamcy.

Our local pharmacies are:

  • Boots, Beauly
  • Great Glen Pharmacy, Drumnadrochit
  • Right Medicine, Muir of Ord
  • Conon Bridge Pharmacy

These are the only four pharmacies that we have arranged collections with. If none of these are suitable, you are able to collect your paper prescription from reception and then you can take it to a pharmacy of your choice.

You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time by contacting reception.

Questions about your prescription

If you have questions about your medicine, your local pharmacists can answer these. They can also answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.

The NHS website has information on how your medicine works, how and when to take it, possible side effects and answers to your common questions.

If you would like to speak to someone at the GP surgery about your prescription, please call us on 01463 782214.

Medication reviews

If you have a repeat prescription, we will ask you to come in for regular medication reviews to ensure your medication is up to date.

We will contact you when this is due and will ask you to make a suitable appointment.

What to do with old medicines

Please take out of date or no longer required medication to the pharmacy you got it from.  Do not put it in your household bin or flush it down the toilet.

We are unable to accept medication at the surgery for disposal.
