We will visit housebound patients if needed. However we would ask that patients with transport difficulties explore other options for getting to the surgery if at all possible. We realise that getting to the practice can be difficult and we can offer some appointment flexibility if necessary around bus times if this is appropriate.
Please telephone Beauly 782214, preferably before 10:00. An early request allows the doctor to assess priorities and plan an efficient route for visiting.
Reception staff may ask you about the nature of the problem in order to assess the urgency of a visit. If there is doubt, the doctor will speak to you.
More equipment and facilities are available at the surgery than at home and about four patients can be seen in the surgery for each one at home. It will therefore be appreciated if you can come to the surgery whenever possible.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
